Your Opportunity
At Stantec, our mine water work sits at the intersection of complex hydrology, environmental protection, and responsible resource development. In Atlantic Canada, that complexity is amplified - high‑precipitation climates, legacy mine sites, sensitive receiving environments, and evolving regulatory expectations create challenges that demand experienced, thoughtful leadership.
We are seeking an Atlantic Discipline Leader for our Mine Water practice to shape, grow, and lead our mine water services in Atlantic Canada, with a particular emphasis on surface water and integrated mine water management. This role is designed for a senior practitioner who wants more than project delivery - someone motivated to help build a practice, mentor people, influence standards, and leave a lasting professional legacy.
You will serve as both a technical authority and a people-focused leader, working closely with Mining, Environmental Services, and Business Centre leadership to define how mine water services are delivered today - and how the next generation of practitioners is developed for tomorrow.
Stantec has an opportunity for an Atlantic Discipline Leader for our Mine Water practice to join our Environmental Services team in Atlantic Canada. The position may be based in Halifax, Fredericton, St. John’s, or other regional offices, with flexibility depending on candidate location.
