Bruno Group is a growing, entrepreneurial group of real estate and construction companies based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We're made up of Bruno Builders, Sidewalk RED, and Pilot Build Co. Each company has its own specialty and personality, but we're connected by the same people-first culture, shared values, and mission to boldly build a better Halifax.
We're looking for a Social Media & Marketing Specialist to join our shared services team and be the creative force behind the online presence of all three companies. You'll create content across three distinct brands, working with everyone from construction teams and property managers to entrepreneurs and residents, with the freedom to bring your own ideas to the table and see the places you're capturing come to life around you.
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely loves capturing, creating, and sharing great content. Someone with a strong creative eye, a knack for storytelling, and the initiative to turn ideas into something worth watching without waiting to be told what to post. You know great content isn't about the perfect setting or the biggest budget, but about finding an interesting perspective. This is a Dartmouth-based, in-person position with regular travel to construction sites, residential properties, and businesses throughout HRM.
Social Media & Content Creation:
- Own the day-to-day planning, creation, scheduling, publishing, engagement, and management of our social media accounts, primarily Instagram, alongside LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Develop original content ideas that reflect each company's unique personality, audience, and brand direction.
- Get out from behind your desk to capture high-quality photography and videography at construction sites, residential properties, businesses, events, and throughout our neighbourhoods.
- Shoot, edit, and produce engaging reels, TikToks, stories, carousels, and other platform-specific content.
- Write compelling, on-brand captions and copy, adapting your approach to different platforms and audiences.
- Build and maintain content calendars, staying organized while making room for spontaneous opportunities.
Creative & Marketing Support:
- Design professional, polished marketing materials using Canva, including social media graphics, leasing collateral, promotional materials, and other creative assets.
- Work closely with Sidewalk RED's leasing team to develop content that helps showcase our residential properties, from apartment tour reels to neighbourhood-focused videos and digital marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate professional photography and videography when needed, including scheduling, shot lists, and managing deliverables.
- Update and maintain content across our existing websites, keeping them current, engaging, and on-brand.
- Support construction signage, branded merchandise, and other smaller-scale marketing projects.
- Maintain an organized, accessible library of photo, video, and creative assets.
Analytics, AI & Continuous Improvement:
- Track social media performance and prepare monthly reports that go beyond the numbers, identifying what's working, what's not, and what we should try next.
- Stay curious about emerging platforms, trends, and technologies that could make our content better and our processes more efficient.
- Use AI tools confidently and thoughtfully to support brainstorming, content development, research, and everyday workflows.
- Identify and recommend tools, templates, automations, and smarter processes that improve the way we plan, create, and publish content.
What You'll Bring:
- 2–4 years of experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing, or a related creative role.
- An exceptional eye for photography, videography, composition, and design.
- Demonstrated ability to independently shoot, edit, and produce high-quality short-form video content.
- Strong proficiency in Canva and video editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
- A solid understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, including how to create content that works for each.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to switch comfortably between different brand voices.
- Experience managing content calendars, organizing digital assets, and interpreting social media analytics.
- Comfort using AI tools and basic prompting techniques as part of your creative workflow.
- Experience updating website content through platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, or similar.
- Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage competing priorities.
- A proactive, resourceful personality and a genuine enthusiasm for creating great content.
Experience in real estate, construction, architecture, or hospitality is an asset, but not essential. Neither is a particular degree or diploma. We're much more interested in what you can create. Bonus points if you're an early adopter who loves finding new tools, testing creative ideas, and making workflows better.
How to Apply:
