Halifax, Nova Scotia | Field work | Contract, paid per work order | C$35 to C$75 per hour

About Service Robot Co.

Service Robot Co. helps businesses across the US and Canada choose, deploy and maintain commercial robots, with 24/7 support. We supply all types of robots for all types of automation. We handle site assessments, robot selection, installation, system integration and team training. Purchase, financing and rental options are available, backed by ongoing maintenance and repairs. One partner from your first consultation through everyday operation.

The role

Visit customer sites to install, maintain, and repair commercial robots. You will work on site with support from a remote specialist.

What you will do

Install robots and check that they work correctly.
Find and fix mechanical, electrical, and software problems.
Carry out scheduled maintenance.
Explain the problem and the repair to the customer.
Record each visit with photos, job notes, and customer sign-off.
Keep your tools and spare parts ready.
Follow site and equipment safety procedures.

What we are looking for

Practical experience fixing or maintaining equipment. Field service, appliance repair, low-voltage work, and facilities maintenance are useful backgrounds.
Reliability, clear communication, and accurate job records.
Willingness to ask for help and report mistakes.
Availability to drive to customer sites, work in different weather conditions, and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Previous Robotics Experience Is Not Required.

Training

You will complete an online course through our Service Robot Co. Academy, followed by in-person training and the industry certifications needed for this role. The Academy is certificate training that we subsidize. Your first job is paid, with a specialist supporting you remotely.

Share your work

If you have a resume, portfolio, project links, photos, videos, or other examples of your work, please include them with your application. We would like to see something you have built, fixed, installed, or worked on. Work from a job, a course, or a personal project is welcome. Share only material you have permission to share. These are optional, so you can still apply if you do not have them.
